Examining the Parts of the Flower. I direct students attention to the board where I have a diagram that illustrates the parts of the flower. I hand out a blank diagram of a flower and tell them to label it as I identify each part. I explain to the class that flowers have male and female parts. Flowers that contain either stamen or pistil are called imperfect or unisexual flowers. Parts of a Flower (Flower Anatomy) Including a Flower Diagram. Flowers are the parts of plants that give them beauty, scent, and they function as the plant’s reproductive system. Flowers attach to the plant via the stalk.
