I'm looking into getting an ecobee and found the installation manual online. In preparation, I opened up my thermostat and found 4 wires connected, plus 3 wires (black, blue, purple) tucked in behind, unused. When I checked my furnace panel, I found a C-Wire connected as well as the other 4. Thought I was in luck. However, I followed the wires and found a huge chunk of splicing. I have a 1977 Dodge van based Vacationeer RV made by Shelton Industries of California. Someone gave me the thing with a blown engine, and my mom was about to become homeless so I moved it on my property for her to live in.
